Abstract:

The rapid development of connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) has offered novel opportunities for reducing energy consumption. In this talk, I will introduce some novel energy-efficient control strategies for CAVs with considering a variety of real-time information about the vehicle, traffic, and roadway conditions. Furthermore, the introduction of abundant external information and nonlinear dynamic characteristics of vehicle system introduce some complicated optimization problems. Thus, this talk will also present the challenges of fast optimization in the CAVs system.
