Influence of forecast uncertainties on MPC controllers for stationary batteries

We investigate the impact of different uncertainties of forecasts for stationary batteries in an industrial energy system. We use a rule-based baseline and a stochastic Two-Stage MPC controller in three different scenarios. While Self-Consumption is not affected by high uncertainties, the trading cost of Time-of-Use increases by 1% and peak shaving behaves the worst with an increase in the peak of 10%.
