Nonlinear Model Predictive Control, primal and dual decomposition methods, blocking techniques for optimal control, structure-exploiting algorithms and software for dynamic optimization.
Dimitris Kouzoupis was born in 1987 in Athens, Greece. He received his diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Patras in 2010. He then moved to Switzerland where he followed the Master program "Robotics, Systems and Control" at ETH Zurich. Towards the end of his postgraduate studies he worked for ABB Corporate Research where he developed interest and gathered experience in the field of numerical optimization. Since 2014 he is pursuing his PhD at the University of Freiburg, in the laboratory of Systems Control and Optimization, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Moritz Diehl.
