Curriculum Vitae
Arne Groß was born in Kiel in 1990. He received his Bachelor's and Master's degree in physics from TU Dresden and University of Freiburg in 2012 and 2014 respectively. From 2014 to 2023 he worked at Fraunhofer ISE as a scientific researcher. In 2023 he received his doctorate which he pursued under the external supervision of Prof. Moritz Diehl.
His research interests include the development of intelligent control strategies for energy systems in the smart grid considering uncertainties in forecasts for renewable energy generation. He focuses on implementation of efficient optimization algorithms for stochastic systems and application to real life use cases arising due to the transformation of the energy systems to renewable energy sources.
More recently he works on distributed control of grid-aware energy communities.
