Rudolf Reiter successfully defended his Ph.D. at SYSCOP in 2024. He graduated in 2016 with a Master’s degree in electrical engineering focusing on control systems from the Graz University of Technology in Austria. During that time, he did internships at Bernecker & Rainer (ABB) and did an exchange semester at the University of Utah, USA. Afterwards, he joined an international company for measurement devices (Anton Paar GmbH) where he worked as a specialist for control systems and signal processing. In 2018, he started working as a researcher on autonomous driving at a vehicle research company. He was a member of the Autonomous Racing Graz team, which competed at real-world autonomous racing events.
Rudolf Reiter was part of the ELO-X Marie Curie Innovative Training Network (ITN), which was funded by the European Commission Horizon 2020 program. With 15 doctoral researchers working at 6 research universities, 5 international companies from 5 European countries, and 4 partner organizations in China, Japan, and the US, ELO-X accelerates research and development in embedded learning and optimization, delivering new methods and applications. Within ELO-X, Rudolf Reiter is working on topics related to decision-making and trajectory planning for autonomous vehicles.
